GUACAMOLE

Ingredients

  • 1 Roma tomato, chopped
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup sweet onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon jalapeno pepper, chopped fine
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano

Directions

Mix all ingredients, except avocados, in a bowl and set aside.

Cut avocados in half. Remove seed and scoop out avocado from the peel. Coarsely mash avocados with fork and mix with other ingredients.

Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Serves 2-3. This recipe may easily be doubled or more depending on the number of servings needed.

NOTE: Any or all of the following ingredients may also be added if desired.

1/8 teaspoon ground cumin,

3 drops Tabasco sauce,

1 clove garlic, crushed,

2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped.
