MILLION DOLLAR POUND CAKE

Ingredients

  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 2 sticks Country Crock margarine
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring

Directions

 

Preheat oven at 300 degrees.

Grease with Crisco and flour large tube pan.

Cream margarine, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour and then measure. Add flour, milk and flavorings. (This makes a stiff batter.) Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.

If desired, cake may be glazed. Mix together 2 cups powdered sugar and ¼ cup lemon juice. Pour over warm cake.
