PEAR RELISH

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon pears, chopped in food processor
  • 2 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 red bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cayenne pepper (more if you like it hotter)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Mix all ingredients in large pot and bring to a boil.  Lower heat and simmer for about 25 minutes, stirring often.

Fill clean sterilized jars and seal.

This is a lot like chow chow.  We like this on peas or any dried beans.
